Pro–Active Safer Driving (PASD) is committed to making a real difference with road safety education. In the past, PASD delivered a broad range of driver training services as a premium driving school.  In 2017, PASD were approved as a provider of the Safer Drivers Course, a product developed by Transport NSW & RMS to provide young learner drivers with theoretical and practical knowledge to assist with driver self-awareness and risk management skills.

With this business transition, PASD were seeking a digital agency who could create a fresh new brand logo and develop a new responsive website for online course bookings. Internetrix were proud to be the chosen supplier and look forward to obtaining a longstanding relationship.

The brief

The branding brief was created in a brainstorming workshop. PASD was clear on their company mission and personality which led into discussions around different styles and colours. Blue was the chosen colour, which symbolises positive meanings such as loyal, dependable and responsible.

The Pro–Active Safer Driving website needed to be diverse and flexible enough, to cater the booking needs of a wide range of audiences. This was to include parents, supervising drivers, learner licence holder themselves, professional carers and support personnel. The website was to have a strong use of Call-To-Actions, including noticeable banners at the top of the pages, so customers could book a course efficiently.

The Outcome

In response, Internetrix built a simple, efficient and engaging multi-step form which allowed users to book and pay for their preferred courses online.

The unique features and functionalities of this form included:

  • Step One: Users view the available locations for all courses that are running and are able to select their preferred option.

  • Step Two: Users are able to custom select their preferred date and times for all available modules. The course is made up of 2 modules. The options for module 2 depend on the module 1 selection. Courses also have a limited amount of places. Module 1 sessions have a max of 12 places, whereas module 2 sessions have a max of 2 places per option.

  • Step Three: Users are able to manually fill in their relevant customer details and information.

  • Step Four: Users are then able to pay online for their selected courses. A receipt is sent to the user via email.

  • Step Five: Users are provided confirmation details via email. This includes booking confirmation, meeting locations and cancellation terms.

The remaining sections of the website allow audiences to read information, view videos, access social media channels, downloadable resources and redirection to supporting links. The aim was to keep the website click through process informative, clear and concise to minimise other interaction. A total of 6 page types were designed and developed to serve these requirements and functionality.

SilverStripe was the perfect framework for this project. It allowed Internetrix to produce a dynamic platform that provided PASD with the flexibility to manually add, edit delete the course modules as well as client bookings.The website was also integrated with eWAY payment gateway for secure online payments.


What was the outcome?

Since Go Live on 31st Oct 2017, the website has reduced the strain of administration tasks - all bookings are captured in the website database, courses and remaining spots can be easily monitored, and all online payments are made simply and securely. The overall process has been streamlined and future initiatives will only make it better!
