Internetrix has been a proud supporter of the Shepherd Centre since 2003 when we first fielded a team in the Carlennium. The Shepherd Centre is a charity which began in 1970 helping deaf and hearing impaired children learn to listen and speak so they can reach their individual potential.
In its 6th year, Internetrix is proud to be associated with the rally once again, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Shepherd Centre. After 5 successful events, the organisers decided a change of name was in order, and from this year on the event will be known as Wollongong Wacky Wanderers.
The event is being staged from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th November with each day having a different dress up theme and unknown destinations. The cost of entering a car is $4000 which enters 4 participants and covers all accommodation and meals. There are many enjoyable moments out on the rally which is not timed, with the officials likely to spring a surprise at any time with the unscheduled pit stop.
Would you like to participate? Entering a car is certainly worthwhile. The Internetrix Subaru Wagon (IRX 680) is also looking for sticker sponsors with all proceeds going to the Shepherd Centre. To help promote the WWW, Internetrix has recently launched a new website to keep everyone informed in the lead up to the start of the rally http://www.wollongongww.com/.
Even if you can't make it along, be sure to check out the website closer to the event, as the Internetrix Wagon broadcasts photos and videos online, directly from the track using some of the newest wireless broadband technology.
For further information about participating, please call Bob Coombes – 0419 294 600 or get in touch with Internetrix. To discuss sticker options on IRX 680 please call Daniel Rowan on 02 4228 6464.
