New Launch - Bible Society of NSW
For many years, the Bible Society NSW has been using a desktop-based program for managing their donations and direct mail appeals. With many staff working 'in the field' to communicate with donors, the fact the system was inaccessible to anyone outside the Bathurst Street offices was a significant hindrance.
Throwing into the mix the complex and exacting nature of a financially focused implementation of Affinity, our Customer Relationship Management application, the need to handle sensitive and secure information, this was a challenging and exciting project. Additionally, the fact the Bible Society NSW spent the large part of the last few months preparing for the relocation of their head office from historic Bible House further increased the complexity of this major project.
The result has been outstanding. The Bible Society NSW now has a completely web-based application that is scalable and very, very fast. With more than 1.5 million individual donations, 100,000 contacts, and a comprehensive segmentation system for classifying donors, this system is all encompassing and integrated.
In sheer financial terms, Affinity has also been a runaway success. By implementing bar codes in the exports from Affinity, and providing bar-code scanners for operators, keystrokes and operating times have been reduced. Additionally, through the implementation of Australia Post barcodes on the envelopes to registered donors, the Bible Society NSW stands to save thousands of dollars in reduced postage fees each month.
