Internetrix are excited this month to announce the signing of our newest client, Wollongong City Council. Internetrix has commenced a contract to deploy Nucleus, our extensive and powerful communications and knowledge management tool, for one of the largest Councils in NSW.
Wollongong Council is an organisation with more than 1200 employees, and almost half of them work in a desk-based, office environment. With a current reliance on a mixture of Outlook, an extensive file-server containing Word documents and some bulletin boards, Wollongong Council have commissioned Internetrix to deliver a state-of-the-art intranet tool.
The benefits of this project will include better capture and reuse of knowledge throughout the organisation, breaking down the 'silo' tendency that is common and until-now unavoidable in large organisations.
By coupling this knowledge-management tool with a communication framework, Wollongong Council staff will be able to share and promote information internally with much greater speed, flexibility and effectiveness.
We look forward to bringing you more news of this major project as it unfolds over the coming months, and if you are interested to know how your organisation can benefit from the intelligent deployment of an internal knowledge-management tool, don't hesitate to contact us today.
