Name: Eamonn Bell

Position Title: Interactive Designer

How long have you been with Internetrix?
Just over a year now.

What drew you to Internetrix as a place to work?
I simply wanted to work in Wollongong in the area of web development. Once I found out about Internetrix and had a look at their portfolio, I was definitely impressed.

What does your current role involve?
I’m primarily a web designer. Basically this means consulting with the client at the commencement of the project to derive what they want out of their website. Next I design the site, and once it’s approved I cut the site from a static image into HTML and images. Then I typically hand it over to one of our programmers to be integrated into Freestyle. I’m also responsible for designing the interface of our product suite. Lately I’ve been heavily involved in redesigning the Gravity look. It’s pretty varied, often designing and programming throughout my day.

How has your role evolved or changed since your earlier days at Internetrix?
I’m still primarily a designer here, however lately I’ve moved away from standard web design into more application design. This has typically involved working on our task and workflow system, Gravity. Also with Geoff occasionally overseas, and as a result, Mark being incredibly busy, I have taken a more active role with dealing with clients. This is definitely new for me.

What’s your most memorable or satisfying experience at Internetrix?
Our recently finished Issacorp project was incredibly satisfying. From the outset, both the client and I were both excited at the possibilities of what could be achieved for the website. The hype and reasonably short timeframe added pressure, but the end result was superb. We were all thrilled!

What’s the best part of being a member of the Internetrix family?
We’re all pretty young and know how to have fun. It’s a close knit group which really comes into effect when we’re all working together to meet a tough deadline. We all work hard but have a lot of fun along the way.

What are you looking forward to in the future at Internetrix?
Evolving as the web evolves. Every day new technologies are being developed along with new ways to solve old problems. Seeing Internetrix embrace them and even further them is what I’m looking forward to most.
