Can’t remember where you put that document, and feel irritated that you can’t just do a keyword search for everything on your office network?

Wish there was a better way to organise yourself than simply creating more email folders and task groups to keep track of things?

Ever annoyed that the file you want is in your office (and you’re not), or located in another office of your company (but you don’t know where to look)?

Have you spent weeks preparing a report or project for your senior managers only to find that someone in a different office/division/area had written the same thing 12 months earlier, and you could have just modified theirs in a fraction of the time?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you need to check out Internetrix Nucleus. And the great news is – you can check it out today through our free online demonstration.

Nucleus is a knowledge management system that works similar to an intranet. Accessed via your browser, Nucleus is a powerful engine for storing, searching for, and interacting with information, organised into knowledge (i.e., it makes sense where it is, and relates to the stuff around it).

There are a few differences between Nucleus as a knowledge management system, and it’s predecessor, a corporate intranet.

Intranets traditionally have a centralised author or publisher who gets lumped with the responsibility of maintaining all of the content. Nucleus uses a very powerful and configurable security model that allows everyone to play a part as a contributor to the knowledge repository within very configurable bounds.

Intranets traditionally have heaps of features, but not a lot of benefit; while they have polls, calendars and other gimmicks, they lack things that are actually ‘useful’, and tend to be poorly patronised. Nucleus is built on very useful, simple systems for entering and viewing content, which extends to it’s powerful search engine that searches within files that are loaded on as attachments.

Intranets are traditionally static and passive – information is there to be read, but not contributed to – and they require busy people to make the time to go in and check them out. Nucleus is a dynamic and active system – users can contribute to discussions and comments, post their own information, and most importantly, updates and changes are pushed out in alerts to a special application that sits in the task-bar of the user’s computer; it tells them when something relevant to them has been updated through an alert.

There is a lot more to say about Nucleus, but we thought you’d like it more if you could log in and have a play with it yourself. To do so, just visit experience.internetrix.net, and sign up for the free demo. We’ll send you your password, and you’ll be off and running in less than 5 minutes, adding pages, loading files, and putting in diary entries against pages. As always, if you’ve got any questions about how Nucleus could be useful in your business, don’t hesitate to give us a call or drop us an email!
