July 2004

Welcome to the July - or 'War on Spam' - edition of Internetrix News. It's been a fairly hectic month for us, like most businesses, with the end of financial year and other administrative burdens always stacking up at this time - we hope you've coming through without too many hassles!

We've dedicated much of this issue to important information all of our clients should know about the Spam problem. In a UN sponsored event held in Geneva this month, and involving around 60 countries reported that up to 85% of all email in the world may be spam.

I've spoken to a number of people over the last few months who've actually given up on email because of the amount of spam they get in their inboxes - a very troubling thing to see, considering most people regard email to be the most important use of the internet.

So, this month we've done something about it. After extensive searching and evaluation, Internetrix has launched a new anti-spam product which is quite different to most of the other filter-based solutions on the market. We've got more details below of a way you can beat the spammers at their own game - read on to find out more.

Also in this edition is a profile of the new Bustin' Productions website - it's different, really funky and packed with features that showcase how even a small business can take full advantage of what the internet has to offer. We also welcome Elrington Boardman Allport Lawyers, a law firm with offices in Capital Country and a heritage that pre-dates Federation; read more about them below.

Finally, with the mid-year jet-setting completed, you'll be noticing some changes around Internetrix in the months ahead as a result of trade missions to Singapore, new clients in Boston and projects planned in Germany. Stay tuned for more to come...
