Napster injunction causes lots of smoke and no fire

In a case which highlights how out of touch the law-makers and courts are with current information technology capabilities, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California injunction against Napster is proving largely irrelevant to online music swapping fans.

A slew of Napster act-alikes, as well as code-breaking hijinks being circulated around the Web, essentially make last week's injunction entered by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Napster not only toothless but also pointless for millions of music lovers.
